Adoption Day!
Well, it's over but yet it's just begun...hmmm, that's kind of hard to understand. All the caseworkers, all the court dates, all the mandatory appointments are over. Now it's just us, the Hart's. Ben and I were talking on the way home and it just seems so surreal. These are our BABIES, FINALLY!!!! No one will ever know the emotions involved, all the footwork, ALL THE PAPERWORK that it took for these little ones to become a part of our life forever. Alexis made us so proud as she stood up and stated her new name to be changed. She was so excited to become a Hart. Who wouldn't be?! ;) Just kidding....

We went to Ben's Christmas party on Friday, December 12, and the kids were able to see Santa. As you can see by Nicholas' expression they were soooo excited! It was priceless...Ok, ok I might have shed a few tears but no one truly understands the feeling that Ben and I had that night. Something so simple made their entire evening. They talked about it all the way home and into the next day. Of course Justin was a little more interested in the candy but he sat on his lap and spoke very clearly to Santa. Nicholas was still a little awestruck but finally told him what he wanted. And Alexis...well she knew exactly what to do. Alissa...we might have to wait until next year. The true meaning of Christmas lies within the eyes and hearts of these 4 babies...my babies!

Sorry :(
Well for starters, you can see that our little miss has figured out that wherever she takes the stool she can CLIMB onto ANYTHING! She has given us a few scares but we just keep track of her as much as possible. Or we just hide the stools until one of us needs it. OK, OK until I need it :)
Our Thanksgiving was great. We had 2 dinners to attend. We were sooo stuffed...Even the kids didn't want to eat anymore. We made our first "hand" turkey and I think we had more fun then they did. We had lunch at memaw's first (my parents) then we had dinner at poppy's and gma's. I usually don't put up a tree until the first week or two of December but our first year with our kiddos, I couldn't wait. This time we did the DAY after thanksgiving!!!
Everyone took part of decorating the tree. We got shatterproof balls for Alissa's safety. Now if we could just keep her from pulling them off the tree. After it was all done we listened to Christmas music for as long as Justin could last then decided that the Grinch who stole Christmas would keep some attention. It was awesome! Every time that tree lights up, so do their little faces. I can't help it but it gets me every time. They are learning about the true meaning of Christmas. It has been a joy talking to them what is really happening. And our little Justin continues to sing Happy Birthday Jesus! But he expects a cake every time, too! The feeling is unexplainable. It's just what Our Lord wanted us to do......
